At Blaze, we believe that your reading habits, studies, and personal documents should remain entirely private. Blaze is designed with a local-first architecture, meaning your files and reading activity do not leave your device unless you explicitly set up synchronization.
2. Data Collection and Usage
Because Blaze runs in a Local Only configuration by default:
- No Personal Information Required: You do not need to register, log in, or provide an email address to use the core features of the app.
- No Document Transmission: When you import PDFs or EPUBs, they are parsed and stored locally in the application sandbox on your device. We do not upload your documents, reading history, highlights, or search logs to any server.
- No Third-Party Tracking: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your reading habits. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs that track your behavior across other apps or websites.
3. Device Permissions
Blaze may request the following permissions to function correctly:
- Files / Document Picker: Needed to allow you to select and import PDF and EPUB files from your device or iCloud Drive into the app's library.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
All in-app purchases and subscriptions (Weekly and Annual tiers) are processed through Apple's App Store payment system. We do not collect or store your payment details, billing address, or credit card numbers. Your billing relationship is strictly governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and App Store Terms.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app's functionality or legal compliance. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we implement cloud synchronization in future updates, we will update this policy and prompt you for consent inside the app.
